Specialist training in Orthopaedics and Traumatology – Dr. Wistone Isdory Ngaiza
Since August 2019, we have financially supported Dr. Wistone Isdory Ngaiza in his specialist training in orthopaedics and traumatology. He has already started studying at the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical University in Moshi and we have promised our support for his 3rd and 4th year of studies.
Dr. Wistone has been a doctor since 2011 and after the death of his father he is solely responsible for his family, consisting of his mother, wife and child. He is characterized by his great motivation to help his fellow men and his country. His will to sustainably improve medical care in rural areas in the field of orthopaedics and traumatology is very impressive. His great commitment can be seen in the already existing cooperation with a local association for the improvement of medical care in Tanzania.
A further sign of his initiative is the independent start of his studies without external financing. Since training as a medical specialist is expensive in Tanzania and it is often difficult to cope with this financial expenditure plus the provision of the family, Dr. Wistone’s strong character and great motivation for his studies is evident. We consider Dr. Wistone’s sponsorship to be an extraordinarily good investment.
Between his medical degree and the beginning of his master’s degree, Dr. Wistone has worked in various fields. These include internal medicine, gynaecology, psychiatry, and projects related to HIV. From this, we hope that Dr. Wistone will be an experienced physician beyond his specialty and will be able to advice and care for the widest possible range of patients.
We are very happy to count Dr. Wistone among our scholarship holders and look forward to a long and productive collaboration!
