Health Care and Nursing Studies – Alex Pastory James
Since 2019, we have been supporting Alex Pastory James in his Bachelor’s degree in Health Care and Nursing.
Alex is the oldest son of three children of a primary school teacher from Newala, Tanzania. His father passed away in 2004. Alex is a trained obstetrician and 29 years old. He completed his training at St Benedicts Nidana School of Nursing and Midwifery from 2011-2014.
Afterwards he trained in obstetrics in various courses at Muhimbili University at Aga Khan University in Tanzania from 2016 – 2018 and is now also working as an obstetrics trainer.
Alex speaks Swahili and English and is a very committed young man. His dream is to obtain a Bachelor in Nursing to be able to work more efficiently.
Alex was recommended to us by his teacher at the School of Nursing and by the President of the Tanzanian Society of Obstetricians.
Since the Bachelor of Nursing studies take 4 years and Alex cannot afford the school fees for this, we decided to support him in his dream.
